ReACTiv Erasmus+ Project Engages Adult Learners Through Games at Adult School
On 20 November, the Erasmus+ project ReACTiv took an important step forward by organizing a pilot activity at the CEPER os Montes, the Adult School in Iznalloz, led by EUducate, the Spanish partner of the project. During this event, participants had the opportunity to try out educational games designed to foster active citizenship and a deeper understanding of the European Union.

During the session, adult learners actively engaged with interactive games developed within the ReACTiv project. These tools are specifically designed to make complex topics—such as EU values, citizens’ rights, and lifelong learning opportunities—more accessible, practical, and relevant to everyday life. Through play-based learning, participants explored concepts related to democracy, equality, solidarity, and participation, while also strengthening critical thinking and collaboration skills.
The activity demonstrated how game-based learning can successfully motivate adults and young adults to reflect on their role as active citizens. Participants were encouraged to discuss real-life situations, exchange perspectives, and connect European values to their local communities. The informal and inclusive learning environment helped reduce barriers often caused by misinformation or limited access to clear EU-related information.
ReACTiv is an innovative Erasmus+ project that aims to promote the active participation of adults and young adults by equipping them with practical tools and knowledge to better understand the European Union and the wide range of opportunities it offers. By addressing information gaps and encouraging informed dialogue, the project empowers individuals to become confident and proactive members of society.
The project is coordinated by CRUM (Romania) and implemented in partnership with EUducate (Spain) and AMUSED (Cyprus). Together, the partners collaborate to develop engaging, inclusive, and accessible learning experiences adapted to diverse adult education contexts, combining expertise in non-formal education, civic engagement, and innovative methodologies.
The pilot session at the Adult School marked an important milestone for ReACTiv, providing valuable feedback from participants and educators. The positive response confirmed the strong potential of interactive games as effective tools for promoting active citizenship and European awareness.
As ReACTiv continues, further activities and learning experiences will be rolled out across Romania, Spain, and Cyprus, supporting adults in becoming informed changemakers who can positively influence their communities and contribute to democratic participation at both local and European levels.
